Being someone who has being to many churches,I am curious as to why people prefer one church to the other.I could only think of the following reasons, feel free to add yours.
1. The teaching/preaching: For starters there is a difference between preaching the word of GOD and teaching it. teaching is in-depth will preaching is more of the surface level. personally this is my own reason for going to a church.

2. The church structure: This is basically the church building, the equipment the church has. some people would rather go to a church that has a massive structure and no solid standing on the word of GOD than attend a small one with sound teaching.

3. The pastor: As shocking as this may seem to some, there are others who are ready to follow a pastor from one church to another, why they do this I still cannot fathom?

4.The church's style of praise; I had friends who were just ready to go to church and dance, some were not even ready for the word just to dance. my mum personally didn't like a church that didn't have enough time for praise.

5. The amount of good-looking opposite sex in the church: While in secondary school for a while I used to follow my catholic friends to mass because, well let us be truthful the catholic church has some really fine boys....now am changed sha!!!

6. Closeness to house: Some people prefer a church closer to their house than one that is far away mainly because if transport, laziness and stress. but some also because of not wanting to keep late nights,we all know nigerian churches and evening programs are 5 & 6,you wouldn't want to be reaching your house by 10 in the night,it can be very risky.

7. Ancestral church: Some people attend churches because their great-great-grandparents attend the church, this mostly apply to Catholics sha.

8. The number of offerings: Some churches do this and it can be extremely annoying, there is nothing wrong with offerings(if you have money and don't pay offerings that wrong),but what I don't get is paying 10 offerings for GOD knows what,I know must churches have;the normal offering, development offering and sometimes a special offering depending on the occasion but when the offering passes 5,my dear abet am not world bank.

9. To charge phones: Do I really need to explain.
So what is your reason(s). please do not judge anybody we are all different.
