Nation's Pride Initiative (Tnpi) Task Imo State Government On Delivery Of Good Administration: Warns All Political Appointees to Get Ready for Probe

The Nation's Pride Initiatives (TNPI), has advised Imo State Government to concentrate on delivery of public goods to Imolites which is in line with his campaign promises, and also extends warning to all political appointees in the state to get ready to give account of stewardship which could help in deepening our democracy. Stressing the importance of accountability in every progressive government.

This statement was released by TNPI executives as the body seeks to look into making the administration of Owelle Rochas Okorocha accountable to Imolites. It will be recall that there was call from Imolites over the manner public funds are being diverted to non-productive projects (white elephant project) by this government which has melted severe suffering on the people. The Nation’s Pride Initiative (TNPI), thereby advised the state government to embark on economic plans and policies that will attract investors in the state.Investing on flourish-able projects will be healthy to Imo economy which will earn more revenue.Reminding the state government that in leadership role, accountability is the acknowledgment and assumption of responsibility for actions, products,decisions, and policies.

The Nation's Pride Initiative (TNPI) also advised the state government to implement an account-giving relationship between the people and the government that will lead to positive impact in the economy, and also make the people to put more trust on the government. A democratic aim TNPI seems to achieve. This come as a result of the yarning "accountability gap" that exist between the people and the government, and efforts should be made to close it so that Imo state could compete favorably with other states in the country.

In other related issue, the organization is warning all political appointees in this current administration to come out clean in giving account of money spent so far. Since accountability is the bedrock of good governance, probing all political appointees is a gesture the organization shall implement in Imo State in no time. Therefore, The Nations Pride Initiative (TNPI) is warning Imo State government and political appointees to show responsibility by being modest in practice.
