I don't fancy either phones. They have virtually the same internals. I'll choose the hot s simply because it has a better design and a very good fingerprint sensor. Oh and XOS is sleek. Though I'm using zenui launcher because I don't like how the default launcher saves all my apps on the home screen.

Actually it supports micro sd card but that means u have to use one sim slot. For me that's not a problem but if u want to use dual sim and an sd card u might want to reconsider. However u can try the Otg below.

I think the default storage is for pictures. Not sure of downloads but I haven't checked. If u have noticed there's no settings under camera to choose sd card as default storage for pictures. This one of the silly mistakes of Infinix. Something samsung would never do.

I'm only scared of its slippery nature.
Got an otg card reader from emeka offor plaza for N500 to make up for the hybrid sim slot.

Is there anyone experiencing touchscreen issues on this phone? Sometimes the touch response on my phone is really low and kinda makes it hard to type correctly. The screen also shakes while using it.

Its a common issue bro. Its so annoying. I am not too sure it can be fixed by software update. I tink its an hardware prblm. I may be wrong though

Thanks for your response, I'm a little bit relieved knowing that I'm not alone. This is the exact reason I sold my Tecno J8 and this Hot S happens to be worse.
