PMP Sacks Dr Ibe Kachukwu As The GMD NNPC, Appoints Dr Maikanti by Johnsonpac(m): 6:58pm On Jul 04, 2016
President Muhammadu Buhari has removed Dr Ibe Kachikwu as the Group Managing Director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and approved the appointment of Dr Maikanti Kacalla Baru to replace him.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina.

The statement also announced the composition of the board of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, as provided for under Section 1(2) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Act of 1997, as amended

Until his appointment, Dr. Baru was the Group Executive Director, Exploration abd Production of the NNPC.
