Omoilu Foundation rejoices with Muslims on Eid-el-Fitri

The Ogun State Coordinator of Omoilu Foundation,Comrade Niyi Osoba has called on Muslims and all Nigerians to look beyond the Eid-el-Fitri celebration and see the season as an avenue to reflect soberly on how to promote peaceful co-existence and a sense of empathy for the depraved.

While felicitating with the Founder of Omoilu Foundation,Senator Buruji Kashamu,the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state and stakeholders across the three senatorial districts in the state,the state executives and elders forum of Omoilu foundation and the entire members of Omoilu Foundation on this year’s Eid-el-Fitri celebrations, Osoba urged Muslim faithful to renew their faith in the Almighty Allah and ponder on the significance of commitment and personal sacrifice towards ensuring a united Nigeria.

"Living a life of grace, humility, self-sacrifice, philanthropy, especially offering aid to the less privileged in the society, are the paths to building a strong and progressive country. 

"They constitute the essentials of building a nation, through the development of its citizens; and this is achievable,"‎ Osoba said. 

Osoba urged wealthy Muslims to emulate Senator Kashamu's kind gesture by observing zakat al-fitr as it will go a long way in putting smiles on the faces of the down-trodden.

"Well-meaning Muslims should emulate the Distinguished Senator Kashamu by performing the Zakatul-fitri (giving to the poor and the needy) as a way of carrying them along in the celebration. Beyond this, they should bear in mind that giving alms to the needy at all times is a pillar of Islam enjoined by the Almighty Allah," Osoba added.
