You can mix blogging on your laptop with a smartphone. As a blogger especially one who creates mostly original content your time would go more into research than anything else.
There's no special laptop needed for bloggers in the same way none exists for the average programmer however its good to see you're aiming for battery life as a basic requirement. Good luck in your search.

processor speed is important, as it will allow you open a lot of pages without any issue. anything below 2.3 is a NO

core 2 duo or core i3 is OK with at 4gb RAM and 500gb.

ba3 is also important, 4hrs above backup will do the deal.
