Update 1: Red Dead Redemption is now live and fully backwards compatible on Xbox One.

Rockstar's Western classic can be installed on your Xbox One using a disc, or purchased as a 7.4GB download from the Xbox store.

If you already own a digital copy of Red Dead Redemption on Xbox 360, then the game will automatically appear in your Xbox One games collection, where it can be downloaded from the menu.

Rockstar has confirmed that all versions of the game are compatible with Xbox One, including the original release, Undead Nightmare and Game of the Year Edition.
