GANIVA:The Igbos of Abia State are Neighbours to the Efiks/Ibibios.(even in Ancient times) The Arochukwu confederacy saw a patnership between Igbos and Ibibios. So We Are NEIGHBOURS. There are quite some intertribal marriages and intertrade between both.. THATS IT.. 2 Likes |

Yes, they relate historically. 1. They have been neighbors for centuries. 2. Some villages have intertwined histories that go back 500+ years. 3. Cultural dissemination occurred in both directions. As an example, the Ala cult exists in Ibibio culture and a derivation of the leopard society exists in Igbo culture. 2 Likes |
