Saraki, Ekweremadu Forgery Trial Stalled by Misscaro(f): 11:23am On Jul 11, 2016

The trial of President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu and others at an Abuja Federal Capital Territory, FCT, High court sitting in Jabi was on Monday stalled due to the ongoing vacation of judicial workers. Saraki, Ekweremadu, former clerk of the National Assembly, Salisu Maikasuwa and the Deputy clerk, Benedict Efeturi are facing two count charges of alleged criminal conspiracy and forgery of the senate standing rules, 2015, which was leveled against them by the Federal Government. Saraki, Ekweremadu and the other accused persons who arrived the court earlier had to return back after been told of the break. Recall that the Justice Yusuf Halilu -led court had on June 27 granted all accused persons bail after they pleaded not guilty to the two count charge. However, the court could not sit today because the judiciary was on vacation, which is expected to last till September. A registrar of the court said the matter will not be heard on Monday because the court is on recess. The source said, “As you can see, the accused persons just arrived but the matter will not be coming up today because the court is on recess.” On when the matter will be coming up, the source said, “The accused persons will come back later for a date on when the trial will resum but that will be after the judicial vacation which will end sometime in September.” The court has fixed September 28, 2016 for continuation of trials

Nice tactical move
The National Assembly is also on recess which means Saraki and Ekweremadu would have had all the time to attend to the trial without affecting their legislative functions.
However with this adjournment the trial will conflict with their official role and Senators will eventually call for them to step aside.

The Shrek Wannabe in his full Patented Corruption Regalia to rally the Eternal Supporters of Everything Sleazy in Humanity to his side as usual.

Watch them on this thread- their presence is absolutely UNMISTAKEABLE, and oooh, what a show they put up! wink

Edit: Below me, one of such clowns is already putting the "show" I talked about already, bouncing around the thread like a yo-yo, maping out territories within which he can show how eternally pained he is over the ineffectual Buffoon's defeat he is.

When folks were begging Antiwailer for alms, a lot of new IDs were created on the forum. Guess who some of those beggars are. cheesy

When the Senate resumes in September without a President and Deputy to preside then u will understand the mathematics behind the adjournment.
Saraki no wan go so it's to disrupt the activities of the senate by having him and his Deputy on trial at the same time.

Unlike the CCT where Ekweremadu was presiding over the senate in his absence.

The Constitution has already given a definite number of Days the National Assembly must seat in a year.

Which means that when the Senate resumes it will not be able to go on recess till December.
The Judge going by ACJA will fix their trial on a daily basis which means that there will be nobody to preside over the senate unless they elect a President temporal (Which Saraki wouldn't allow).

Saraki and Ekweremadu should just Resign coz this is Checkmate

Yes we know that already but the Senators will soon do the needful coz all of them got to the Senate on their own and are hoping to make money after 4 years to recoup their investment and be able to re-contest elections not keeping fighting the Executives and end up with empty pockets.
The joke is on Saraki...
