those things you listed only happen in movies or in other countries but not in Nigeria. so let us enjoy this tweak till the next ten century b4 naija can track IMEI

The op is obviously a noob, most of the conditions here will only apply to you if you're scared to push your phone to the limit.. Yes it will void your warranty but it is not imei tweaking that will brick your phone, it is the rooting of the phone or tweaking of some stock app and noobs are always scared when their phone soft/hard brick which is why we always advise you to have a backup stock rom of your device. If a particular IMEI is being used by more than 2 phones the last phone to use it will simply refuse to connect to any operator and all you have to do is change it or analyze it with IMEI analyzer to give you a matching number to complete it. Your phone belongs to you and only you, nobody can track your activities if your location is not switched on and your phone can never be rendered unusable by blacklisting, what they actually blacklist is the IMEI then you can always change to another IMEI or your original IMEI. I have tweaked, bricked, flashed, port custom roms and done several things on different android phones.
The only reason I'm against IMEI tweaking now is because data subscription is cheaper but I can't do without rooting and custom roms.

Should I say am lucky?

I changed my imei when I bought my gionee m3 only for it to stop working 4months later, I lost a months worth of money/bb subscription, and fortunately it was then I realized there are cheaper subscription which I quickly subscribed to... grin

And I usually hear of people who changed imei, that later their phones stopped working, but mine didn't, it just stopped working as bb.

Firstly download MTK engineering mode from playstore
Open the app.
Go to MTK settings, shift/slide to connectivity, under connectivity go to CDS information. Under Cds information.....
Click on Radio information, under radio information Click on phone information.....
You will see Phone 1 for sim 1 nd phone 2 for sim 2
Click any of them(the sim u wanna change the IMEI), you will see =AT+ then type E for sim 1, select the first option which has 1,7"" in the middle of the inverted comma " put ur new/old IMEI" for example =AT+ EGMR 1,7"00000000000000000" then SEND command.. If it doesn't go CLICK before + nd space it from AT, ie AT +

For sim 2 choose follow the same steps, when u see AT+, type E nd chose the 2nd option that ends with 1,10"".....that would be AT+EGMR1,10"0000000000000000"

I changed my Imei using the mtk mode, I want to reverse it back to the original Imei, how can i go about it? I dont have the original imei with me.

Data is now so cheap @1.5G for 1000 naira , i cant imagine why anyone should go through that hassle.

1.5gb is too small for me I can finish it in less than 30 minutes and come back looking for more if u Are an heavy user of phone online,u stream and download a lot 1.5gb will vanish quickly so that's why we opt in for a better alternative at least 3gb or 4gb for 1000 which is better for me so changing imei doesn't take a pinch out of me ,it is as easy as ABC and to revert back to the original is simple too,it is just like when I bought a new phone I supposed to have received free 1.5gb from etisalat but my imei was stolen because it was at the back of the phone case so that takes me back to the op anyone can have the same imei that u have it can be generated randomly so don't think u are still on the safer side NOOOOOO ! TEAM IMEI
