The Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) announced yesterday that the company has remitted a total sum of N70 billion naira to the Government account in the past few year. Mr Yakubu Musa: “This is in addition to the N30 billion paid by MTN Nigeria as a part payment of the N330billion fine slammed on it by the commission. Having said that, the commission reportedly won the European award for best practice, 2016 in which about 63 countries participated in, NCC came out outstanding among other countries due to their commitment, support and quality management strategies. Side note, if you look at the rate in which most of the Nigeria telecommunication company are now in a race to produce a better services to retain its customers, as well as reducing call tariff plans and also the data boost this days, you can tell that the Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) is at work. The NCC also encourages customers to report complains against any telecommunication company who by any means overcharged on be it data, call rates, etc that is contrary to what the company advertised. Which network are you using? are you overcharged on your data or tariff plan? use the comment box below. I thought it was Portugal that won the European Award and not NCC. Don't mind my Sarcasm though.. I think remitting the money to FG's account won't account for anything credible as we all know how the system works... |
