Are you minding the empty-drums?

You can imagine how they boasted about Osun State having IGR far greater than the IGR of the entire SE States. And before day would break Osun State became bankrupt and comatose with many of its civil servants surviving on the good gestures of concerned Nigerians.

Fayose of Ekiti government had to even send some of their citizens to the SE to learn skills/trades in a bid to grow the economy of Yoruba region.

Just mention Biaf... or NK to their hearing and see them convulsing terribly and reeling on the floor with reckless abandon. And see them shout the loudest, screaming 'One Nigeria' at the same time grandstanding carelessly and senselessly that Nigeria's unity is not negotiable.

There's nothing wrong in highlighting the successes of one's people. It's only the uncivilised who come to NL veering off from the main topic under discourse to continually demonise supposed foes. They have made it a career to keep demonising others to ensure the continual free flow of crude oil wealth from another's backyard, lopsidedness, marginalisation, nepotism, treasury-lootings, Quota System and bloodletting in the land.

They maybe educated but that has not delivered them from the indoctrination they received from childhood to be bile-filled, hateful, vengeful, heartless and diabolic, that they rarely appreciate the good in other people.

In all it's been fun watching them amuse themselves to stupor.

Thanks , that reminded about age long false claims of how they claimed to be the most educated tribe in Nigeria with no other proof than the free hogwash educational system that their leaders foisted on them. Today WAEC, jamb has made nonsense of these claims.
I never cease to get amazed at how these people can thrive and live on lies and fallacies and any attempt to give them the truth would be taken as an insult to them.

Discoverer of CTE, igbo

Bennet Omalu discovered Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy in former football players, sparking years of denial from the NFL and the creation of a movie about his life's work.

IN THESE GROUPSFAMOUS PEOPLE WHO MADE MEDICAL DISCOVERIESFAMOUS PEOPLE BORN IN NIGERIAFAMOUS UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH ALUMNIFAMOUS PEOPLE BORN IN 1968

“There are times I wish I never looked at Mike Webster’s brain. It has dragged me into worldly affairs I do not want to be associated with. Human meanness, wickedness and selfishness. People trying to cover up, to control how information is released. I started this not knowing I was walking into a minefield. That is my only regret.”

—Bennet Omalu

Synopsis

Born in Nigeria in 1968, Bennet Omalu graduated from the University of Nigeria's medical school, before continuing his training in the United States. In 2002, he discovered the presence of a degenerative disease in the brain of former pro football player Mike Webster, naming the condition chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). His efforts to raise awareness of CTE were rebuffed by the NFL, although mounting evidence eventually forced the league to make concessions. Omalu's work was dramatized in the 2015 filmConcussion, with Will Smith portraying the Nigerian-born doctor.

Early Years and Career

Bennet Ifeakandu Omalu was born in Nnokwa, Nigeria, in September 1968, during the Nigerian Civil War. The conflict had forced his family to vacate its gated compound in the village of Enugwu-Ukwu, but they were eventually able to return there to resume a comfortable lifestyle.

The sixth of seven children of a civil engineer and a seamstress, Omalu was a shy but gifted student with a fertile imagination. He was admitted to the Federal Government College in Enugu at age 12 and dreamed of being an airline pilot. However, at age 16 he began medical school at the University of Nigeria.
