The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief John Oyegun has inaugurated the Edo state campaign council for the Governorship election and charged them to deliver Edo state with a margin that tells the story clearly and strategize with the Local Election Organising Committee to ensure victory for the All Progressives Congress.

Governor Ambode of Lagos state who is the chairman of the Campaign Council was represented by Governor Nasir El Rufai of Kaduna who hinted on the fact that the job is being made easier as there is a rule of law and an INEC that is committed to delivering free and fair elections.
He made it known that in the shortest possible time the state will celebrate with Godwin Obaseki.

The APC Governors Forum Chairman and Imo state Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha charged the Campaign Council to put in their best as even the Governors who are not part of the council will give their total support. He noted that in the entire South East and South South, there is just one APC Governor per zone and hammered on the need for the APC to win more states in both zones.

The host of the inauguration, Comrade Adams Oshiomole, the Governor of Edo state thanked all the Governors and stakeholders of the APC for their presence while applauding the members of the campaign council for Edo state Governorship election for accepting the responsibility bestowed on them.
