My concern now is the Ooni. I know he is young,and trying very much to give the Yoruba race a relevant voice in the scheme of things around the world.

But,over exposure is bad. And this can lead to the trivialization and casualization of the throne.

Take a cue from all the past Oba's of Benin. It was a rarity to see any of them. Just imagine?an Oba with his goddess sitting on an ordinary party table.

This is not good.


This is also my candid opinion...
Kabiyesi need not be attending all these functions personally.
For most of these outings, his Staff of Office would suffice.

The Kabiyesi should, most of the times, be in the Palace

Oba of Benin is different from Oni of Ife. Benin is not an authority on how Oba's must behave.

This is what I don't understand with Benis............. When did Benin become standard?
