Sometimes ago, I was charged illegally by police,my offense,I had emergency and I have to use the ATM around 12:30am, they said am a yahoo guy that a young guy like me couldn't have own the car I was driving even after showing them all documents. So na straight to station no story. I didn't argue,when we got there,they said am to pay 200k or they will charge me with armed robbery! Just like that? I told them they should help me call my wife on my phone that she will bring my ATM that has such amount in it.
So I gave them my phone and told the policeman to press c so the name will be easily accessed. The guy was shocked when he started seeing

He just called his colleagues, and they all came back and meet me and the story now changed to oga, you shouldn't have gone out around this time now, it is dangerous you know
They escorted me to my house and even escorted me back to the hospital,when I even offered them 3k for fuel,they rejected as said they are just doing their work! You can imagine.

Imagine a Nigerian police arresting someone cos he has nothing inside the bag he's carrying.

Then what about the lady they arrested along with him?

Police is your friend

My brother. The is 'usual' in that particular police station. When me i dey follow them talk, i no they give me chance at all. The are not the cool headed people in there at all. They are always out to extort and harass people in the Ajuwon,Akute and Alagbole environs. Especially That Bayo of a guy. A police that will give you first attack. The day the guy give me blow, na that day he know who is who. I was ready to call friends in Eleweran so that they can take up the matter. The most annoying thing is that the DPO is so unwise. he should know that alot of rubbish is happening. All they know is how to collect money. A friend of my mine was arrested to like that months ago on coming from BEN K to see a client and ended up getting arrested after explaining to them what he do for a reason and why he was driving back home late. He ended up pay the usual 10k. CRAZY POLICE in AJUWON. I also have a police asking for the receipt of my car after seeing that all the document are complete but when he sees say me i no get him time. He won come change am and secondly i will never accept my phone to be checked because it is against the law to prive into my private conversation without a court order. People please know your right. Like a friend of my mine will always say, he would rather sleep a night in the station rather than part a way his money. In fact he is ready to pay a lawyer 100k rather than pay a police man 1000. Let us always fight for our right.

I live around that area Akute to be precise trust me this is one of the smallest case you are arrested for just anything and you will be asked to pay ridiculous amount of money. I've been a victim more that 10times.
