A Nigerian journalist journalist and presenter Didi Akinyelure has won this year's BBC World News Komla Dumor Award, which aims to celebrate African journalism and reward exceptional talent. She is the second person to win the award, the first having being won by Ugandan news anchor Nancy Kacungira.

Ms Akinyelure comes from Nigeria and has been working for CNBC Africa in Lagos since 2013. She presents business news for CNBC, which broadcasts across the continent. She will join BBC news teams in London in September for a 3-month placement.
