It is a good move....what would amke things better is that the power generated stays in Anambra state...instead of being sent to some national pool for redistribution (One of the reasons why we do not have increased generation) |

This is what I expect States government to do. Bring in investors in power, textile, IT, agriculture, etc into their States. Make them comfortable so they can employ your people and also earn foreign exchange for you. 2 Likes |

For Christ sakes is this governor not in NIgeria. A country where other governors cry and wail of no resources. Am convinced this governor doesnt understand what it means to be a governor, one of their responsibilities is to generate revenue, create jobs and protect citizens of the state. |

Those saying it's to expensive do not know what it takes to generate power. A gas turbine that can generate 10MW costs as high as $7M. This excludes the cost of installation plus other accessories. All in all, I think it's a good deal and kudos to Governor Obiano and the people of Anambra. 4 Likes |

You have a better option and you are sleeping on Nairaland 24/7. Is it on Nairaland that you will build your own plant? Why not hit the field and start off with something! patrickkkk: 1 Like |

I am particularly happy because the private investor is an anambra born. My inlaw to be more precise... from Ogbu Abatete, idemili north LGA. Omelora 1 of Abatete. So the money will never leave the shores of the state. More grease my people. 3 Likes |
