Fresh report suggests that the embattled Preside of the Nigerian Senate, Dr. Olubukola Saraki ha defected back to former party, the People Democratic Party, PDP Saraki's reported defection comes in barely 2 hours when he reiterated his loyalty to his form Party APC. According to an online news platform, Nigeria Times who exclusively reported on Saraki' defection, the Senate President unofficially defecte to the PDP at a secret meeting with the PD caucus yesterday evening at the Abuja home of hi deputy in the Senate, Ike Ekeremadu at the Ap Legislative Quarters. Our source further revealed that, after t meeting,Ike Ekweremadu, Deputy Senate Presiden led a group of senators to Goodluck Jonathan’ Maitama home to brief him. The meeting wit Jonathan is on going at press time. Saraki has been facing prosecution at the Code Conduct Tribunal for falsely declare assets. A source who was at the meeting told Nigeria Times that Saraki, who has faced persecution fro the leadership of his party, the All Progressive Congress (APC) decided to leave the party an return to the PDP, which he left in 2014 with fiv PDP Governors. The source said Saraki says he will use the PD as a platform to actualize his ambition. He adde that Saraki is likely to take with him to the PD APC Senators loyal to him. This would affect t balance of power in the Senate as the PDP woul most like upturn the APC’s majority in the Re Chamber. “Saraki has finally had it with the APC and t Buhari government. He believes he has face enough embarassment and persecution from the after his investments to help the party wrest pow from the PDP, ” our source said. Last week, he was in Sokoto, on the pretext condoling the family of late Umaru Shinkaffi. Although, Wouldn't be surprised if this is true. The level of petty squabbling in APC was previously not envisioned. And despite enough warnings to all parties to sheathe swords and evolve an effective ruling party from the structure of a formidable opposition party that APC fielded, the schemes continued.

Now that he's decamped, let's hope he's not gonna reenact what Amaechi did to PDP to APC because the guy's quute strong in that Senate and this is one of the major cues that PDP's being waiting for.

Nigerian politicians need to learn to resolutely prioritize.
