New Vacancies In Today's Paper by tlo(f): 8:00pm On Sep 15, 2009
I have really mixed feelings about this post,  because I do not support the principle for making commercial the things of God.
Yes, these ads were in today's paper (Tuesday Guardian), and am sure a number of people noticed them as well. I couldn't help but share it with the house to find out whether it's just me who feels this way.

I am a Christian (and I admit I am not the perfect being), I do not pretend that I do not have flaws, I try to be realistic about life and trust God to help me be a better person in a real 21st century kind of way, so when I get on a bus and hear a preacher speak, I respect his boldness to preach the word openly,  but also listen to what he says to be sure that he is INDEED a "Man of God"  and I never feel compelled to say a Halleluyah, Amen or sing along.

It's also funny how these preacher's try to guilt trip you into answering their calls, by saying things like," if you are a child of God shout Halleluyah", I think it's a way to emotionally manipulate one into responding, and I do not buy it because I do not know, their doctrine or which "Jesus" they preach.

It was only in my service year that I started to see preachers, preach and then request an offering.
Before the bus takes off to its destination, they give a full service, Praise Worship, The Word and then , AN OFFERING?  It's either they are genuine pastors who will remit to their ministries/pockets or frauds who play on the traveller's fear of accidents by offering their "Spiritual Services". AN OFFERING, That goes to what ministry, for what use, AN OFFERING

I thought I had seen it all, and now this , vacancies in the papers, promising attractive salaries, promises to plant missions overseas, renumeration tied to "pastoral experience and ability to learn quickly".

I think this is unfortunate, any  Tom, Dick or Harry who has had no other luck getting any other job will quickly hear the call of God to ministry and sign up. No disrespect to these ministries but I'm not sure they know what they're getting into or , may be they do.

Jesus' disciples had nothing, just their love for Christ and the desire to obey and spread the gospel. I think this is the height of it!!!!!!!!!
