Frank Edwards has got the net buzzing with his Birthday EP which he started releasing three days ago.

Now, what does an EP mean? EP stands for "Extended Play". It is a collection of songs by a musician. It however, falls short of a full album, which is referred to as LP (Long Playing).

EPs normally have between 4-6 tracks.

EPs are used by artists for some reasons. These reasons include:
1) As a promotional tool
2) As a giveaway or reward to fans and loyalists
3) As a prelude to the release of a new album in the near future.
4) To remain relevant in the music world while working on a new album.
