I have seen lots of bloggers who have taken time to see for them selves the Top blogs in Nigeria. Sometimes ago, I saw a blog ranking Number 2 among a post of "Top 5 Sports Blogs" by an unnamed blogger. This Blog that ranked number 2, happens to be a blog i have never known or visited. I was marveled on how a blog that's is not popular will be on that spot. I later decided to make my own research on the top Sports Blogs in Nigeria as a Whole!

My research here doesn't include Newspaper websites, sports related websites, Or auto-generated web pages for sport. I am mainly concentrating on Nigerian Sports Blogs, i.e Nigeria Blogs that are for only Sports News! My consideration were their Google Page Rank, Daily Viewers (Traffic), Site Worth (Siteprice.org), Up-to-date News, Friendly Designed Website, e.t.c. These blogs can only feature on any particular type of sports.

Please, note that any blog listed here has never been influenced by anybody to attain that spot. I can boldly say they have merited it in one way or the other.

Wolexis Sports Blog is a Football Blog hosted by Google free hosting company, Blogger. Wolexis Sports Blog has been competent in getting daily Football News and dishing it out to it's reader in a palatable way. Wolexis Sports Blog is best known for Football Transfer Gist. If you need daily Transfer gist, I will say you should visit Wolexis. Yes! Wolexis has also been topping the google Page Rank on Sports Blog in Nigeria. I give it to Wolexis! Thumbs up! 2. Soccernet.com.ng

SoccerNet is also another Football Blog that i can not leave out of this List. As the name says, Soccer, We know what they have got. Soccernet updates her viewers on the latest "Soccer" in the "Net" News.. Lol. I use that phrase because of their consistency in giving live updates on their website. SoccerNet also Stream Live Football Videos to entertain it's readers. This Blog is a great! The url address of SoccerNet Blog is www.soccernet.com.ng.

3. Owolaball.com.ng

Owolaball Sports Blog (OSB) is a Nigeria Sports Blog using the Platform of Wordpress. Owolaball (as popularly called) is one of the Nigeria Sports Blog that doesn't only update the public on football Sport news but also on other selected Sports like Golf, Basketball, e.t.c. They give international and local news to their users on sports generally. Some interesting features of this blog is the Fixed Matches they promote and Free Saturday airtime. The url address of the site is www.owolaball.com or www.owolaball.com.ng. Owolaball Sports Blog is owned by Rahmon Azeez, A graduate of Osun State University.

4. Naijafootball247.com

This blog is probably the most read football blog in Nigeria. You could easily get addicted with the blog’s style of telling its own story about issues surrounding Nigeria football. China Acheru Naija Football 247.com report news; reviews and sometimes try to proffer solution for the Nigerian league. China Acheru, the publisher, is a great media professional and Nigeria league insider. So if you want to know the true story of any burning issues in Nigeria football, then visit this blog regularly to get updates.
Acheru is probably the best sage in the business. He had worked with Cool FM, Goal Newspapers, Kickoff Nigeria and he is presently the media officer of Dolphin fc; a Nigerian premier league club in Port Harcourt.
