Nigeria On The Road To Recovery???????????? by smogville(m): 11:40am On Sep 17, 2009
I was listening to Dr Myles Munroe on Television, on his recent visit to Nigeria. He was talking about his dreams for Nigeria and he said that Nigeria will soon become a great nation again, that instantly brought my mind back to the various prophecies of various men of God including Papa Ayo Oritsejafor, Pastor E.A Adeboye, Bishop Oyedepo, Fela Durotoye e.t.c, that Nigeria would rise and become a great nation again.

We are called the giant of Africa, but we, as Nigerians know that, the giant in Nigeria is sleeping. We live in a country where everything is failing, where there is no infrastructure, and in cases where they are present, they are not functioning to capacity. We live in a country where the educational system is comatose, we live in a country where darkness is more constant than light. We live in a country where proper medical services are non-existent, above all we live a country where true and proper leadership is non-existent or failing.

They say, he that is down fears no fall and that the only way to go for a man that is down is UP. Nigeria is down now; we have gotten to our lowest ebb on our proud history. We have to the level where Nigerians now call Nigeria a useless country. We have gotten to the level where Nigerians and Nigerian businesses are moving to countries like Ghana, Benin and South Africa. These are countries that Nigeria Nigeria helped to find their footing and they use to see Nigeria as a big brother. Remember the days of “GHANA MUST GO” bags?

We have gotten to the days where Nigeria is no longer a force to reckon with in sports. Let me remind you that Nigeria won no medal at the just concluded World athletics Competition, while countries like Ethiopia, Kenya, Jamaica where hauling gold medals. Do you also remember that our darling team, the EAGLES are no longer as SUPER as they used to be? See what Tunisia did to us in our own backyard, now we are being threatened with the fact that we might not be a part of the world cup, that will be held for the first time on African soil. We can go on and on, on how DOWN Nigeria is.

All these point to the fact that we have gotten to the worst that we can get. This is why I believe that we are ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY. We have gotten to the stage where we need to reinvent ourselves as a nation. And like Dr Munroe said, there is a silent change in leadership in Nigeria. True leaders are emerging from the ranks of young Nigerians, they already existing and the people are following them, these true leaders are not like the HAWKS we have as RULERS in power today, who do not have true followers.

It is said that motivational speaking sparked up the early revolution in America that lead that great nation to where it is today. Thank God for motivational speakers in Nigeria today, thank God for the likes of Fela Durotoye, Niyi Adesanya, Steve Harris, Sam Adeyemi, Abiodun Mabadeje, Toyosi Akerele, Segun Manuel e.t.c that are grooming the next generation of Nigerian leaders.

Fear not Nigerians, We are ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY and we will get there, by the grace of God/ isha Allah.
