In a thanksgiving service to
mark the successful conclusion
of a week-long International
Youth Fellowship of
Brotherhood of the Cross and Star celebration at 34 Ambo
Street Calabar on Sunday,
24/07/16, His Holiness Olumba
Olumba Obu The King of kings
and Lord of lords in His sermon
admonished Nigerians to honour and respect the
President Muhammadu Buhari
because God put him in that
position.


In His words, Father Olumba
said, citing the scriptures in Epistle of Paul to the Romans
Chapter 13 verses 1 to 4 which
states “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained by God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they
that resist shall receive to
themselves damnation. For
rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? Do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same. For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain. For he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil” (KJV).

The Father urged Nigerians to
respect those who are in
position of authority because
they derive their mandate from God and have the powers to punish offenders.


He said that people and political enemies of the President have spent billions
of Naira for spiritual warfare to
eliminate the president to no
avail, believing that he will die.
But His Holiness reiterated that he will not die as a result of
their wishes or whatever they
have done, but the president
will stay and complete his
tenure in office because God put him there.


The Father asked, “which other Nigerian can do what the President Buhari is doing now?He further added that those who glaringly looted Nigeria money and impoverished the citizens are compelled against their wish to return their loots without sparing anyone.


His Holiness Olumba Olumba
Obu gave thanks to The Father
because the government’s exercise touched the small, big
and mighty as well as the well
connected in the Nigerian
society which had never been
before.


On the national economy, His Holiness urged Nigerians to be
patient with the President
assuring that the economy will
eventually upswing to our
amazement, if we faint not as
we waited.
