Do You Work For Money Or Passion? by Africanman123(m): 11:12pm On Jul 27, 2016
I overheard some of my colleagues talking about the main reason why we work. I also raised the same question to my Palmchat followers. To be sincere I work for both, because I have passion for my job. But can you answer sincerely, what do you really work for? Passing or pay?

In this naija, passion hardly works. If you want to sit and wait for the job you love, old age will just meet you without any good thing done in your life

In this country though that is the irony, but it does not mean one should not chase his/her passion

lipsrsealed lipsrsealed Na money ooo!!

I was having a discourse with one of my colleagues couple of weeks ago, this nigga is actually a medical officer in a national hospital(one of highest paying for docs in d country)He then brought up the issue of how poorly d docs get remunerated in the country compared to their contemporaries in private firms(Telecoms, banks and O&G)

Nigga started complaining about d start up salary of an entry grad as an executive trainee/EA in d bank OR a field engineer in schlumberger/an insurance marketer/Accountant in d likes of dextroit and KPMG being more than that of a consultant, that which is d zenith of his career..
Na one question I ask am,Na who send you make you pick Medicine,he was actually myopic and only joined d bandwagons in filling d course during jamb having no modicum of sensitisation nor awareness what d thingy holds for him in future ultimately. He isn't satisfied with his remuneration as a doc, even though,he's still comfortable to a reasonable extent.

Vividly, one needs no soothsayer to relay d fact he has no modicum of passion for his job,Na money he dey Find..

As I'm typing, Nigga is doing his MBA in Michigan hoping to switch to d finance sector...

I work for money as if my life depends on it....na for survival.... we do things we don't really like so we can live the kind of life we want always .... remember this my own opinion, before you rush to quote me as if I dey owe you.... that's why money is always a BAE to me

If you do what you love you would earn much more than when your major drive is money , if your major (take note i said "major ", money should also drive you but not come first ) drive is money you would always be broke , so figure out better things to drive you, Passion can be what you love , passion can be the desire to raise your family from where they are to where you want them to be ,passion can be to help others and the needy .Passion is always the best anytime, anyday .As far as its not against humanity ,and God ,Do what you love and you wont regret it . #DonaldHasSpoken

passion.....i would rather work(passionately) in a company where they pay like 500k monthly than work in a 1million monthly pay company, where passion is close to zero.

When u work passionately, somtimes,u spent more time at work and get to office early and in some cases,u might forget to check is ur monthly salary is being paid.

A 'passionless' work affects the workers psychologically.

I could vividly recollect my industrial training period;i left the company where i was doing my I.T( though, they were paying) to a 'payless' company( power plant).i couldnt stand the monotonous nature of the previous company.
