Wow that was a great piece of article. As business environment change, some ideas die, giving room for new ones. But certain in certain business, these ideas only get refined. Meaning nothing, even technology can kill such business. Here are also some business that nothing will affect there growth too: school business real estate water business block business consulting translational business fashion www.sandalili.com |

My guy do you know how many Mr Biggs outlets have packed up? That Eatery business u put up there I may not totally agree with that. Imagine I was in the car with my boss from Igando to Egbeda and we could not get just one eatery to branch and eat. And they used to be much along that express before. We even saw one closed with an inscription '' Currently under efcc investigation'' Don't know whats really wrong with earery business nowadays sha. May the its the competition that's getting too much 1 Like |

ajasa4link: I think the problem with the eateries (franchise type like Mr Biggs)are as follows: - Since it is a franchise, the franchisor dictates the business model eg the decor, supplies the food and the likes. The franchisee only follows the "instruction" as set out by the franchisor leaving no room for creativity. - Their overheads is too high. The decor and ambient environment requires a huge amount to set up and maintain. - Most people go there to eat not because they are really hungry but just to "feel among" or maybe they just got this excess cash and you wouldn't mind spending a thousand naira for a meal that might not really fill your belly as you wanted - There is economic "recession" and less disposable income. Nigerians are just managing themselves. These days, people would rather go to a nice bukka with say 3-5 hundred naira and be satisfied than to go to those expensive eateries. |

Am not impressed with the list of general broad areas listed by the op cos it will be easier to mention area that will fade way than those that will always have market. Op if you want to help people your research should be on products not on general area like agriculture or restaurant. Tell me. Something like demand for agege bread is inelastic and for that one cannot go wrong if he ventures into them or tell me rice. Farminf but not general agricullture. Cheers 1 Like |

Op I'm sorry but arts and Nigeria are like water and oil. They don't mix. They are not cherish. I used to be into bead arts. Paint club logos using beads. All they do is comment and they can't buy one in their homes. I still feel I've not targeted the right market tho! But people don't wanna pay money for things they will buy and stare at, If it's not a television 1 Like 1 Share |
