1. The state is named after the city. 2. Ondo was pronounced a city on 05/12/2015. 3. The first king to rule in Ondo is a female, her name is 'Pupupu' pronounce as 'mi-do-mi'. 4. Osemawe (do-re-do-mi) is the Paramount ruler in Ondo. 5. The name, Ondo is carved out of Edo (do-mi) yam stick. 6. Their local soup is called Gba-non-non(mi-mi-do). 7. Best food is Pounded yam. 8. Osemawe was carved out of 'ese omo ti mo ewe'. This first king was still a kid then, she was ask to go and bring some leaves, she went and brought them, they were amazed and they said ' This evil child knows leave'. 9. There are 26 alphabets in Ondo dialect, they are A B D E E F G GB GH GW I J K L M N O O P S S T U W Y. 10. Dr Olusegun Mimiko is the first Ondo man become a Governor in Ondo state, and the first to use two term. 11.
