It is high time the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board(JAMB) is called to order by concerned stakeholders in the educational sector. Since when it conducted its computer based test(CBT) this year in february to march it has been one story or the other.

During the exams many candidates system was shut down thereby causing delays that affected their results and in other instances there were reports of multiple registration,marks deduction and addition that has never been witnessed before in the past exams. Jamb as an examination body has failed woefully in its responsibility this year.

They failed to put adequate logistics and planning that will determine their preparedness to conduct a smooth examination that other examination bodies like WAEC and NECO will emulate.

After the lucky candidates wrote and luckily passed the utme and were looking forward to the writing of their post-utme,the education minister drop a shocker that there won't be any post-utme this year despite the fact that some higher institutions has already conducted their post-utme. The excuse was that post-utme is used as an avenue of exploiting some candidates,so it should go.

Later they came up with a new system called screening test that was similar to the post-utme conducted by schools,and later point based system. When the candidates and their parents thought that at least it is all over,they quickly came up with another new system called Jamb posting and said they have sent some compiled list of candidates to the schools of their choice and despite that some candidates were yet to be posted,Jamb drop another bombshell that they have withdraw the names,thereby putting the already depressed and angry candidates with little or no hope of getting admission this year. Why the sudden change of plan by Jamb,while only time will tell.
