President Umaru Musa Ya’Adua will travel to Saudi Arabia today on a working visit. A statement from the presidential spokesman Segun Adeniyi explained that the Yar’Adua’s visit is at the invitation of King Abdullah Bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud of Saudi-Arabia.According to the statement, Yar’Adua is scheduled to hold talks with King Abdullah in the course of the visit and participate as a special guest of honour in the opening of the new King Abdullah University of Science and Technology.
It said the President will also meet with the leadership and members of the Nigerian community in Saudi Arabia before returning home on Saturday.This is Yar’Adua’s second visit to Saudi in less than two months. Last month, the president also visited Saudi where he underwent medical check-up and performed the lesser hajj.
The president was earlier scheduled to travel to New York this week to attend the United Nation’s General Assembly but with his trip to Saudi the Foreign Affairs Minister, Ojo Maduekwe, will deliver the president’s address to the UN.

What a misplaced priority. This man is not telling nigerians truth.

Working visit about what? what can Nigeria gain from the visit? The same man that cancel United nation meeting with Baki moo, This man is just a joke.

He's going for treatment.

Nobody should be fooled by this idiotic and sick President who cannot tell his fellow countrymen and women the real truth about his second so called official working visit to Saudi Arabia within a few weeks since he last visited.

The real truth is his worsening health condition complicated by his Chaug-Strauss Syndrome which may not be responding well to the treatment he received in Jedda, Saudi Arabia just a few weeks ago under the pretext he was going for the lesser Hajj and a working visit.

Aso Rock claimed he will be meeting with the Saudi Monarch who curiously will be in New York for the UN General Assembly ( an event 100 other world leaders are attending to discuss important issues affecting humanity ) and later Pittsburgh for the G20 Meeting.

If the President's poor health precludes him from working for the interests of Nigeria, we would all understand his predicament if he simply resigns his position in other to concentrate on looking after his health. That is what the Nation expects.

And to imagine that this ex-journalist and spokesman SEGUN ADENIYI could lie bold face to Nigerians!

We are deceiving ourselves if we expect anything good to come from yaradua.

This man surely is incapacitated and unfit to continue as head of state. In a sane society he would be impeached and the vice president handed the reins of leadership.
