The evolution of a thing doesn't make much sense to me, too many questions attached to how we all got here but evolution isn't the best answer in my opinion. Like the question the OP asked, it is very valid, how did the water body evolved into various water bodies we have now? The numerous green lives existing today. Which water body first came into being? The first tree, flower, bird? All of these just came about as a result of a random big bang
