· Novak Djokovic:

The Serbian tennis genius will go down as one of the greatest tennis players ever having won almost everything tennis has to offer. Ironically, the player who entered the records book earlier in the year for winning the French Open as one of the eight players ever to win all four grand slams, still has an Olympics gold medal eluding him. With Roger Federer out injured and Rafael Nadal still struggling to get back to his best form, Rio 2016 might be the golden chance for Djokovic to add the Olympics title to his magnificent title archive.

· Justin Gatlin:

The US sprinter has always had to play second fiddle to Usain Bolt. For the last two seasons, he has posed as the World’s No. 2, and he’s under a lot of pressure to get out the Bolt's shadow that has seen him came behind the Jamaican at the 2015 World Championships and at the last Olympics in London.

· Marta:

The Pele with skirt has been dubbed the best female player ever, having won the FIFA player of the year for a record five-time consecutively (2006-2010). She holds the record for the most goals at the FIFA Women’s World cup with 15 goals, but has had little success to show for it with the team. At 30 years, she has all to play for at the home soil, to win the coveted Olympics title for her Brazilian national team.

· Neymar:

At a very early age in his young career, the Brazilian captain has always been under pressure to deliver a title for his country. His abilities on the ball is undoubtedly as displayed over his short career years, but winning the Olympics gold, which surprisingly Brazil has never won might perhaps be his most difficult task so far. Rio 2016 is indeed a career defining moment for the London Olympics silver medalist.

· Khanak Jha:

The 16 year old will represent the United States at table tennis' men's singles and team events at the Games. This will make him the youngest tennis player ever at the Olympics. Apart from this, he is the first American player born in the 2000s to represent United States at the Olympics and is under intense pressure to ensure the US advances past the quarter finals of an Olympic table tennis tournament in what will be a record first time in their history.
