naijababe: My bad on mixing up your sex.. Technically speaking. . Every time a religious post is put up here or a religious topic is started out here in the real world, it's in our faces. You expect non-believers to keep mum with religion being shoved in their faces every blessed day abi? That's unfair. Radio, Television, newspapers, the Internet and even down to our neighbourhoods, religion is literally shoved down people's throats. Hells, Jehovahs witnesses would literally walk up to your doorstep, knock and invade your privacy to put their beliefs in your face. I think it's unfair that you don't take offense to that but it's the oppressed minority (I used oppressed for want of a better adjective) that speak up every no and then that you actually have issues with.. Not cool babe.. In a room full of a hundred people, barely 5 would be unbelievers. You can live 100 years and never will an unbeliever turn up at your doorstep or jump up inside a fully loaded bus and start putting his or her unbelief in your face. You can listen to the media and for every 1000 religious ad or gospel or program you hear, less than 1% of said program would be from unbelievers.. I bet you have never been woken up in the morning to unbelievers yelling into a microphone disturbing your peace.. So I maintain my darling that you are simply upset with a minority (extremely minority) group for upsetting the apple cart which is mainstream religion. It is most unfair to say minority unbelievers are ranting off about blah blah when you have not said shiit about the majority believers of diverse faiths who rant off at every given opportunity in our faces every day even inside our personal spaces without permission or consideration about their beliefs and how we unbelievers are the cause of the world problems and how we will all on day be set on fire and made to burn for eternity. Think about it Babe. 5 Likes |

plaetton:I agree with you on d point you made about a small percentage of d people being a fanatic, but I disagree with your conclusion. religion can be said to have suffered a huge decline in d past decades, but those advanced countries were highly religious when they were building the foundation of their country. it is easy to blame religion, but a country like Saudi Arabia is developed yet highly religious. America is no more religious but the citizens are crying the country has witnessed a huge decline in development. if all you want to do is blame something or someone for Africa's stunted growth, don't you think there are more areas or things u can blame? 1 Like |

Prophets are made to liberate nations from chains with their rugged actions in the bible elijah use his mouth and actions to destroy ahab he didn't pray he talked to ahab face to face abt the atrocities he has been committing the same is applicable to nathan the prophet he talked to david when he committed his own atrocity what of samuel he talked to saul so my brodas all these crusades won't help us rather after praying we go back home and rest God wants someone who he will use after those prayers to make tins happen desmond tutu of south africa defied his comfort and attacked the white apartheid regime in south africa I expect this thousands of internationally connected prophets in nigeria to look directly into buharis eye and tell him that God is not happy with him that he shud amend his ways crusade won't solve dis problem for nigeria its rugged prophets who fears nothing that will take d day I remembered one anglican priest during the dayz of abacha upon all d fear associated with abacha he stood up and told abacha boldly to go,so my prophets I expect u pple to lead the crowd and save d pple,I remembered the role of catholic polish church in liberating poland from the evil polish communist regime |

D last tym I checked, none of them has ever forced ANYBODY to fellowship with them so y dnt u just stay in d closet of ur room nd keep shut ( cos its obvious yu r a pagan!). U guys will complain bout Adeboye being a fraudster; Oyedepo being a cultist nd nw , Kumuyi( whom I even tot was in ur good books) has suddenly become a Charlatan!! If there's any reason Nigeria has nt moved forward, it is because we keep condemning any thing Nigerian but keep praising d foreign ones. Y dnt u just leave WE, d 'gullible' followers alone nd let God be d judge; who r u to judge any1 when ur own life sef is full of SIN ND FAULTS!! Oga abeg no let me vex dis morning o.......ehn ehn |

MadCow1: No offence taken Au contraire my friend, non-believers very rarely keep mum on religious issues on blogosphere because of the anonymity that the virtual world offers everyone of us and to be honest, I don't expect them to keep mum, my issue with the non-religious is that they are becoming exactly what they consistently rant about.
Do you have a problem with freedom of expression? A Jehovah witness can knock on my door and I can equally slam my door in his/her face, in my part of the world, people do not preach on buses or disturb the peace of others without being penalised. You can't have a party in your house and make noise without your noise making equipment(s) being confiscated and maybe even fined, unless of course you want to blame our collective lack of political will to make our leaders accountable on the religious.
This is where you are mistaken, being a minority does not give anyone a free pass, our political leaders are a minority, ISIS is a minority, it has not stopped them from oppressing the majority with the majority being almost powerless to stop the undue aggression/oppression.
I have thought about it and still do darling, I have a lot of respect for you as a poster but on this one I disagree with you. I am not even a fan of the Nigerian MOGs, my view on them is gist for another day but my issue with those who oppose them praying is this, they are pastors, praying is what they do! Why is that an issue? Nigeria's problem was not created by pastors, it was created by all of us and it is important that all of us to take a collective responsibility. What I see consistently on NL is the non religious' superiority complex and always wanting to pass the buck. Pastors are a problem of Nigeria, just as women, politicians, lecturers, lawyers, bankers, civil servants et al are. I am a married woman, if my hubby become a serial philanderer tomorrow (God forbid), many pastors will tell me to pray and look to God to change him but because I am not an idiot, I will not be looking to God to help me solve a man-made problem, I will put my brain in gear 1 and do practical things which will not stop me from also PRAYING Peace out bro! |

pippimp:They refuse to hear the truth, nobody said you should pray, as this poster as listed, you prayer squads shoulf think about it yourselves. A country were churches are more than schools, yet crime and sin is the order of the day, citizens are not happy with each other. We pray for NEPA to bring light, imagine. Bad roads with high probability of accidents, low quality education, pastors stealing another church's member. All am saying is the standard of living in Nigeria is at an all time low. 2 Likes |

Acidosis:I concur wt u on d need 4 prayer bt d problem wt 9ja isn't spiritual, it's physical & very much man-made . Until we all start doing d ryt thing, all d prayers we r sayn is 4 self deceit. We need 2 stop deceiving ourselves in dis country. U tnk it's prayers dt wld fix our crater-sized, pothole-riddled roads, gv us uninterrupted power supply, stop our excessive love 4 importation of even basic goods (lyk pencils) dt is killing our currency & exerts a negative domino effect on ingenuity, employment, economic development & tech advancement? D sane answer is No. IMO, God has already been more Dan gracious 2 us even more Dan a lot of countries lyk US, China, dubai etc. When last did u hear of natural disasters lyk earthquakes, tsunamis, Volcanic eruptions, wildfires, hurricanes happening in our country? our climate is beta & more pple friendly Dan theirs still despite all these impediments, dey still made their country more developed Dan ours. I SMH 4 dis nation. Make we continue 2 dey fool ourselves say na God go solve our problems wen even Bible talk say "b nt deceived, God is nt mocked 4 wteva a man soweth, dt he shall reap". |
