You are right for saying that he never scored in the nation's cup but he is like every other player with a dark side in their career. George Waeh won world's footballer of the year award without participating in any world cup. Ronaldo De lima didn't win any UEFA champions league. Messi is yet to win a trophy with his national team. Okocha didn't win any CAF award which Kanu won twice. I could go on and on.
