Considered to be the Group of Death which consists of World powers in Basketball (such as Croatia, Spain and Lithuania) Nigeria are yet to win a single match in Group B at the ongoing Olympic Men's basketball in Rio. On Thursday night they yet again narrowly missed out in staging a famous upset against Spain but have to wait a little longer for their first 2016 Olympic win as they narrowly lost 96-87 in their third game. Nigeria occupies the bottom table of the group and still have to play tough opponents; Brazil and Croatia in their next matches.

last year African Basketball tournament in Tunisia that Nigeria won, the very first afrobasket ball trophy, beating the best African team, Angola at the final. under what name was it played and shouted?

We do not have the facilities at home to compete with world teams. We haven't even practiced enough. Government releases funds two weeks to Olympics and we except to win? Gush! The football team couldn't even pay the hotel bills of their officials

Biko winning is not magic! And as far as their is no adequate planning and preparations, loosing is inevitable

But then, if we can put our acts together as a nation starting from today, then we have hope for 2024 Olympics.

i watched that game last night and felt like crying...D'tigers got better with every game but they woke up rather late. They did performed better than they did against Lithuania. That Pal Gasol guy of Spain was the one who actually dashed our dream of winning that game. all good tho...
