samuel sochuckuma okwaraji died on the 12th day of August 1989 during a qualifier match against Angola at the lagos stadium.

the 25 years old was said to have suffered enlarged heart and high blood pressure which lead to his sudden collapse.

Not many Nigerias know this. Most of us believe that samuel okwaraji died during a match against india. which india has already scored 99 goals against Nigeria.

India then decided to give Nigeria all the goals if Nigeria can get a goal. shortly Nigeria had a chance of a penalty kick which samuel okwaraji was called to kick.

As he wanted to kick,the ball turned into a lion(some believe it turns stone).Okwaraji didn't know. as he kicks the ball he fainted and die instantly.

many believe this led to ban placement on Indian from international football.
