Dream Team VI Media Officer Timi Ebikagboro has come out to deny reports making the rounds in the media that he and some other officials of the team as well as two alternate players were ordered back to the country.

Reports on some notable Nigerian Sports sites claimed the media officer of the Nigeria Olympic team Timi Ebikagboro and two alternate players had been ordered back to the country.

This development was said to have been due to the financial situation of the team in Brazil since the alternate players and the media officer were not on official list of the Olympics organizers.

However Timi Ebikagboro has come out to vehemently deny the reports via his twitter page

“Contrary to reports making the round, those of us leaving tonight we’re not ordered to leave Rio, rather we all chose to leave after” Ebikagboro said

“Every one of us were paid all their allowances, reason Usman Chata, the equipment manager has decided to stay back, he is among those Not accredited for the Rio games, don’t want to join issues, but trying to state things the way they are, God bless Nigeria ”

“And still in the lies being told, our flight is 1am Tuesday and we are not arrvivng early hours of Tuesday, it’s wise if we write truth”

Okay.. They were not "ordered" to leave, there were politely told to pack their stuffs and go back home because they are useless to the team?
