The Problem With The Igbos To Include Their Good Side&Edge Over Other Tribes by Ade3000yrs(m): 11:19am On Aug 17, 2016
I am not use to politics and gossip and lame talk but take a look at the word or the name Igbos. No doubt majority of these tribe are making wave in the dimension of industrial exploit in Nigeria and cintribute alot to Nigeria GDP. No doubt these are hard working people and tribe with resilient and dearing features and heart but I must say that these people have some ills that earns them unbargain set backs in matters of National significance!!! Who is an igbo man and what is the pedegree of an igbo man Just as every man has the power to do good and evil without respect to tribe or Nationality, just as the Yoruba and Hausas, the igbo tribe is not in any way more or less in expectation as every 12 disciples of Jesus will always have its own Judas.

Amidst alot of fantastic and great things an average igbo man has a defaults in Socio Cultural Values which is Perculiar to the Igbos and a few Southerners!!! Its very unfortunate that we have some blood thirsty Igbos and Southerners in Nigeria. Alot of these people have desecrated their land and have made their land abominable, hostile and inhabitable for strangers. No social harmony and no hospitality at all because alot of igbos and southerners are divided amongst themselves. that's why we have a hyped case of desperations, killings, fighting, religious coveteousness in the name of God and Gold with escalated cases of kidnapping in these part of the Country. It seems a handful of these people lacks the lacks understanding about the values of peace. Go check majority of these people personal life and business affairs, social ethics and you will see that they are by far worse than the Yorubas and Hausas they are trying to get out of the way for an headway in Politics and Political Relevance, the picture for most of these Igbos is usually Ugly because they are used to seeing life from the Ugly and gory perspective instead.

This attitude and socio cultural threadings are visible among both the Educated and the Non Educated igbos, when you see them you will know them because they will always show their hands sooner or later along with the stuff they are made off, they claim they are frank but to me most of these people are brute, crude, salvaging and unpruned in reasoning. Alot of them brag and don't believe in the concept of privilege yet they call the name of God the most among the Christian population. They believe what they earn they deserve by their own power and affronted efforts.

Most Igbos talk and act before they ever think. All these I have said may not be the truth, but its a fact!!! This is no attempt to rubbish the integrity of any Nigerian Tribe but we must be bold enough to look each other in the face and tell ourselves the ugly truth. I believe its due to miseducation and misinformation of betrayal at play that still leaves open the wounds of yesterday Civil war of the 1967 to 1970, unafirmed talk of how the Yorubas and South South gave out the Strong and impenetrable Igbos militia strong defence line that cumulated to the Igbos lost of the war.
As a matter of fact, I admire the Igbos alot. I mean it, in a lot of ways and I feel 100% at home than my average Yoruba brother cos they are simple and hide their expressions and grievances in plane truth unlike my average and regular Yoruba brother. An average Yoruba man is most complicated cos we maintain a British conservative perspective while that's why it seems the Yorubas has remained the central players in the fate, future and history of Nigeria. The Yorubas are homogenous but complex, they are like the rope of Knowledge that ties every Nigerian tribes of over 500 tribes together. That is why an Igbo man and other tribes in the yoruba land tend to give out standing results.

Without Argument, the Igbos after the Hausas in efficiency and labour are the industrial heart beat of Nigeria. The Igbos are everywhere in Nigeria and therefore should never be seen as a minority nor inferior tribe in any way and have equal right and claims to Nigeria like the other tribes professed. The Igbos of today a highly educated and statistics today shows that the Igbos hv out beaten the Yorubas as regards priority to Education by the margin of 70% to Yoruba and 88% to the Igbos. Issues of Secession is just an idea of a few ill educated and ill informed minority individuals who are not reflective as regards the trajectories of history.

For a lot of reasons, the 1st thing that comes to the mind of other over 500 average Nigerian tribe when they encounter or come across An Igbo man or Woman is this, "THE TROUBLE MAKERS" or "Here Comes The Trouble Makers," but believe me you need to take your time to understand the nature, orientation, psychology and the history of an Igbo man before you judge them. They are naturally mountain people and as such there ancestors are warriors with a defensive and offensive outlook to life. A detailed study in the cause and heat of the 1967 - 1970 war is enough an expository that Odimegwu Ojukwu was one of the best brains in the Nigerian Military at that time and as such, the Igbos almost won that war had they have the equal means and support the Nigerian government had. The Igbos were just by far too much out numbered as their were more military casualty on the part of the Nigerian government than the little fraction Ojukwu Militia., To be frank no sane human will want to embrace a government that nearly wiped out its race from existence as it takes extra courage to look past such incidence and inhuman act in history. It takes a rational and strong forgiving heart to do that. Some how and some where along the line, Ojukwu admitted his defaults and his dastardly expended dexterity of his Military power inspired by emotional and sentimental or personal connotations which dragged down his innocent tribes along the pathways over a few in disciplinary and uncontained military rancour that fested on its officers creeds and duel for showmanship and parades of the Uniform Power.

To be frank, My 3 best friends on this planet earth are Igbos, And if your are a single man due for marriage and ask for my opinion on the choice of woman ideal as a wife material, believe me, Igbo women are the best wife material in Nigeria as they are sure to stand thing and tall with you till death.

It's unfortunate how the Igbo culture and tradition is pitched against the right of the Igbo women to social life. I believe something good can still come out of these Nazarethans of Nigeria as we still have some great and dynamic names from the eastern part of Nigeria but the truth remains that some elements of weed and pack of wolves that surrounds them won't allow them to flourish and come to light.

It is almost a custom that the Yorubas are the most brilliant tribes in Nigeria but today, it seems the Igbos are fast breaking that spell and jinx to gain an edge for quality education to dispose the Yorubas of the over due long credited fronts and claims. But Been brilliant is different from been intelligent. The Igbos have alot to learn from the Hausas and the Yoruba culture and community. The insurgency and pilfering Hausa Fulani crisis in the North has nothing to do with an average Hausa man from the North nor Islam as a religion; It is more of a loose free running bandits that has infiltrated our porous borders and has in effect infected and, poisoned a few Uneducated Northerners!! Let nobody cease this as a privilege to divide and desecrate Nigeria. The Igbo race of Nigeria will do well only if the Igbo leaders and followers can come together and ask themselves what went wrong and whats the way forward.
I believe there are still some good Igbos that are exceptionally good and by content of character are by far better of the best of Yorubas and Hausas but these are just a few people with great exposure and sharp intuition. Come 2019 election, an Igbo candidate will be my Choice of Presidential Candidate, be it Charles Soludo, Dr Obiangeli Ezekwezili, Rochas Okorocha or Rotimi Amaechi. I believe in people who believe in the success and good will of Nigeria together as one.
Only The miserable and misechieveous people will continue to have reasons for blood shed. Those who have nothing good can never have reasons to give anything good because they have nothing good to give.

I use this platform to endorse an Igbo President come 2019. God bless the Igbos!! God bless Nigeria!! And among my choice are Prof Charles Soludo, Rochas Okorocha, Chris Ngige, Rotimi Amaechi and a host of other well meaning igbos.

One love to my Igbo brothers and sisters who share in my opinion.
