I'm from borno state. Lived all my life in the north. Bauchi, gombe, yobe, kano, kaduna, now Abuja. When I heard some Muslims are rearing pigs in Zuba (for business), I refused to believe, till I was transfered to Zuba, then I saw it with my eyes. Iscoalarcon: |

tundexijim: You are very funny dude. So is only Igbo's that is complaining that Buhari is causing hardship in Nigeria? The last time I checked, everybody is complaining about the hardship brought by Buhari administration both Hausa , Igbo and Yoruba.. Hausa's are even the ones complaining most and raining curses on their brother and you are here talking rubbish. You just want to find fault in any little thing done by Igbos. 5 Likes 1 Share |

That was why they killed them in the North in 1966 and the genocide continued till today. They killed all Northern Leaders and later making jest of them. Useless tribe drawing Nigeria backward since 1960. 2 Likes |

carmag: Thanks for the key part of your comment:: "Sentiments Apart".. So sentiments aside, it depends on many factors. The issue isn't in calling your animal any name, the issue is in the reprisal such actions can cause. The trader was not arrested because the President was upset that he was named after a Dog, he was arrested because some concerned persons made a complaint to the Police and reported it as inciting and that is very plausible. Now if a Northerner or a Westerner goes into Bayelsa State and names his Goat or Cow 'Jonathan' and even shaves the name Jonathan into the sides of that animal, that is inciting behavior. Such actions is capable of spiraling out of control and may lead to break down of law and order and the death of persons. And for that they should be arrested. If a Yoruba or Hausa person goes into the East and names his He-Goat after Late Dim Ojukwu.. It will not end well for that Person and other people of his tribe in the immediate area. If a Christian goes into a Muslim neighborhood and decides to have a Pig as a Pet and names the Pig 'Imam', thats is inciting on multiple levels. Its just what we do but the consequences of such actions.. 3 Likes 1 Share |

sorextee:Nice one dear brother. From Borno State and still a strong Christian in a trying time. I know that Borne, Adamawa, Taraba, Plateau and Southern Kaduna are strong indigenous Christian areas in the North, hence the evil boko haram focusing on North East and North Central so as to weaken their Christian faith. Rather the people wax stronger in faith even in the face of trails. I have lived in the North for some years now, and had friends from those places. God bless you dear brother and friend. Sometimes it baffles me the level of hate that still exist among the we the young generations of Nigeria. How on earth can this country be one, if after 50+ of independence the youths are still seriously engulfed in tribalism. In this forum I have come to understand that the so called one Nigeria is a mere English expression, can anybody tell me the difference between what we see as tribal comments in this forum and Racism. Too bad, just watching in 3D |

stola, from your writeup show how naive and tribalistic jingoistic element. you are .Ordinarily speaking, the man in question has he committed any crime as convicted by you stola? the attitude of people like you is lack of given a value judgement to issues which cut across other ethnic miles.besides the intention of the man that name his dog burial has to be tried before conviction. even otherwise ideology of frustration ,hunger, political quagmire and economic insolvency which is caused by this administration could be the reasons why people are reacting . my advice to you is to come out of the ream of myopic altrance . 1 Like |
