The Nokia Booklet 3G is a break with tradition for Nokia. Historically a mobile phone manufacturer, they have decided to bring to the table all their wisdom and knowledge and pack it all into one of the most advanced and smallest netbooks available. One key element with mini laptops or netbooks is the amount of battery life, however with this new addition to the Nokia range that is not an issue, with up to 12 hours of working time available.

The netbook comes with a whole host of features. Constructed from aircraft grade aluminium and being compact in size means it has already won admirers, even though it is still not available. The unit measures 264 mm x 185 mm wide and is 19.9 mm thick. It uses the Intel Atom Z530 processor which operates at 1.6 GHz and its operating system is Windows 7. The unit is responsive and an ideal work tool with an effective keyboard which makes it simple to input data, unlike some small netbooks.

The netbook comes with a multitude of options to connect to a variety of devices, these include Wi-Fi, Blue tooth and a built in 3G modem, for data calls. This means access to the internet through nationally available hot spots is available and is a useful feature.

The netbook provides a 1.3 mega pixel camera which is often used for a variety of reasons but includes video calling as one of its uses. The netbook comes with integrated GPS with A-GPS as standard, which is unusual in a netbook. Memory storage is large on this netbook with 1Gb of RAM which is DDR2 as well as a 120 Gb hard drive. This ensures that applications are quick to load and the unit has fast response times.

The netbooks display is 10.1 inches with 1280 x 720 pixel display. Inputs integrated within this unit include HDMI 1.2 out for high definition video, 3 off USB ports as well as a 3.5 mm headphone out socket and an SD card reader. Built in stereo speakers and microphone complete the features.

The Nokia Booklet 3G, is similar to other netbooks in several ways, however its unique Nokia styling and raft of features ensures its popularity will be assured. Netbooks or mini laptops as they are sometimes known as have grown in popularity over the last few years and this unit is one which ticks all the right boxes for those looking for a reliable and up to date netbook.
