Really respect the Cross River people, so this massive and laudable project is going on and Nairaland isn't filled with chest thumping.

If it were some people, they would have told you how they exported 10 billion dollars African fabrics.

Lol and brag about how they are feeding other tribes.

This is Cross River Garment Textile Factory, when completed will produce African and Italian fabrics. It is also expected to generate jobs and help to reduce our reliance on foreign fabrics. See more pictures below..

When you try to correct people on Nairaland you end up fooling yourself,I have seen this happen over and over on here
FYI, there is nothing like **Speak* good English in writing rather write in good English.
Lesson* Nairaland is not an English class.

Chest thumping can be motivational, it can force lazy people to sit up, take notice and want to do something too in order to shut the chest thumper up. As for this factory one wonders why such does not exist throughout the realm. Stuff like this, the Enugu Shoe factories mentioned on another thread and call centres are just what Nigeria needs to create mass-emplpyment for those that do not possess the typical Nigerian entrepreneurial spirit and only wish for nine-to-5 job with a pay packet at the end.

nice job, at least it will create employment for the citizens...that reminds me of oodua textile industry in my home town then that ceased to exist due to mismanagement, i earned my first salary there. Nigeria needs more of this

Garment, not textile factory. My question is this, how will the government get its money back because this is not what it should be spending its scarce resources on.

Something fishy about this stage photo. Where are the workers? Why so many unattended work stations in a country where unemployment rate is off the charts? The industry makes no sense if it isn't working at full capacity with all those stations manned.
