Lagos will ring loud at this year’s edition of the Toronto International Film Festival as the organisers are spreading a wide carpet for the city and its acolytes.

In this wise, the TIFF has selected eight films from the state, a feat that has excited stakeholders and the Lagos State Government as the festival is also having a special focus on the country’s most commercial city on its (festival’s) City to Cityproject.

Accordingly, the government has congratulated the directors of the selected films for screening at the fiesta holding between September 8 and 18.

In a press statement signed on Tuesday by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Steve Ayorinde, the TIFF will be celebrating the talents and creativity that abound in Lagos with the unprecedented selection of the eight new films by Lagos-based filmmakers.
