LAGOS OIL did not just come as a happy news but also set a pace on how oil fields should be allocated to businessmen in Nigeria.

A lot of people may be wondering why it was given to Yomi Folawiyo.

Unknown to many, Yinka Folawiyo(the father) Oil and Gas had started searching for oil in Lagos for about 2 decades or more and had spent over $100m personal funds searching and believing oil would be found!

However, when the father died, the son through his company Yomi Folawiyo Energy continued to spend and search until they struck it!!!!

I will advice the FG to also allow Private Businessmen to take the risk of searching for oil in places that are not oil producing areas. Till date, FG had spent over $500m searching for oil in the NE but we can encourage private sectors to do that for us while we save money and spend on diversification!

Ambode is so lucky.....Please do not spend your derivations the way ND did. Save Save and Save. Afterall, you're rich, save for raining day.

Develop Aje Community and avoid pollution and environmental hazards. Take care of Aje Community and make Lagos even greater!

Lagos amongst other things has set a pace of how Nigeria with the right leaders can make things work effectively.

If the Lagos example can be replicated in most states around the country, there will be a better economic value in those states with less dependence on the central government for stipends.

Governors Nasir El Rufai of Kaduna state and Willy Obiano of Anambra State seem to be following in the footsteps of leaders with sense of investment and drive to keep their states ahead of others.

We say a big kudos to all these leaders with vision and foresight!!
