-The state chairman of the PDP Chief Dan Orbah has described as a, ‘big lie’ the claims in an affidavit by the APC governorship candidate Mr Godwin Obaseki that he spent only three years from 1973 to 1976 to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Classics from the University of Ibadan.

He said the information contained in the affidavit which the APC candidate swore to at the Federal High Court, Abuja on 7th June 2016 amounts to lying under oath because Obaseki did not say he did the Advanced Levels before he gained admission to the University.

Orbih was speaking on Thursday at a campaign rally by ward 10 PDP members at the ancestral home of the Ize-Iyamu known traditionally as , ‘Igehege No ‘Okao’ where the PDP governorship candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu was born and bred.

Obaseki’s claim that he finished secondary school in1973 and that lhe graduated from the University of Ibadan in 1976 is a big lie. He did not sit for advanced levels, A/L, he did not go through prelim. If he went in through prelim, he would have spent a minimum four years but with A/L he would have spent a minimum of 3-years”.

He also said Obaseki was being economical with the truth by saying that his educational certificates which he said in the affidavit got lost while he was moving from one office to another in Lagos has been traced to New York in the USA.




want the FBI in the USA to investigate how the certificates that were missing in Lagos were found in New York. I also want Scientists to come together to propound a theory of how certificates can disappear in Lagos and show up in New York”.

Speaking on plans made during an APC campaign by Obaseki to reactivate the Bendel Feed and Flour Mill Ewu, Orbih said it is a fact that the politicians is not in tune with the reality on the ground.

“He does not know that the flour mill has ben sold since to the Christ Embassy. It shows clearly that the man is empty and that he is a stranger in Edo state. He does not even know what is happening


Orbih appealed to the voters in the state to read between the lines of the sworn affidavit of Mr Godwin Obaseki and his statements at campaign rallies to conclude that he has no plans for Edo people no does not deserve to be elected governor.

its not stated in the affidavit 'where' the certificates got missing. so that's up in the air.

Obaseki should do the needful... show us the certificates so that the matter is put to rest & the contestants can expend more energy into telling Edo people what they have to offer & how they intend to achieve them.

Obaseki cannot take care of an ordinary certificate but wants millions of Edos to place their treasury and fortunes in his careless hands. Laughable.

I see an inconclusive election because feudal APC hawks can never agree they lost election because Obaseki will lose. APC loves spilling blood and don't care if millions of Edolites die in their quest to hang on to power.
