Remote work seems to be a new trend taking over the business world and it comes as no surprise because it has numerous advantages; Not only for the employee but for the employer as well.

A recent survey of business leaders found that 34% said half of their full time staff would be working remotely by 2020. Incredible, isn’t it?

But with more and more employees now working remotely, it has become more challenging for HR professionals to communicate and engage with them.

I don't think the remote work culture has caught up with Nigerian firms yet.

Working remotely has its perks but it's definitely not for everyone. Most Nigerian companies won't survive the culture we have a long way till we get there.

However I believe remote work is the future.

You have a valid point. Thank you for your comment. We do hope more Nigerian businesses embrace this future trend.
