Activities marking the twenty five years of the creation of Anambra State will kick off on Friday 26th August, 2016 with His Excellency the Governor, Chief Willie Obiano unveiling the 25 years anniversary icon after which he will address a world press conference at the Governor's Lodge in Amawbia.

On Saturday 27th August, 2016, which is the anniversary day proper, His Excellency, Chief Willie Obiano will also address the state in a radio and television broadcast by 7am.

The Governor, thereafter will perform the following official functions:
1. Foundation stone laying ceremony of the International Conference Centre in Awka.

2. Commissioning of the three new flyovers in Aroma Junction, Kwata Junction.

3. Flag off of one million trees planting campaign in the state.
4. Foundation laying of the Oxygen Project Plant for the State Teaching Hospital.
5. Flag off of the N20million Community project.

Other activities lined up for the celebration of the silver jubilee have been spanned to last the next three months with a grand finale in December this year.
Ndi Anambra are by this announcement requested to join in the anniversary celebration and also use the occasion to pray fervently for the sustenance of peace and progress of our dear state.

My governor should reduce the mistakes APshit are making by repeating same inferior projects in 8 years of their wasteful administration.

Anambra state is advance but alot of works are yet to be done.

Must he wait for Fashola from Federal to repair the road for him?
The road is less than 10KM.
For heaven sake, the celebration is useless if that road is not fixed, or planned to be fixed by the State.

Well, The Flyovers were only Partially Commissioned for use in order to de-congest Awka Roads and make the safer.
The major Commissioning of the Flyover Bridges is coming underway as Anambra Marks 25Yrs (Silver Jubilee) on saturday.

[size=20pt]Don't Forget that the Bridges have not been FULLY completed before now, they were just put to use.[/size]

They are just there to show us what the Bridges look like. They are not Labelled, If they were, You would have seen labels such as:
"Akwata Bridge During Construction"
"Aroma Bridge after completion" and so on.

Those are not the recent Pictures, they were just used to buttress the point.

The road you mentioned is a federal road, is only when the federal government grants you permission to do it then you can do it, but it is on record that the federal government is yet to refund Anambra state government the 42billion naira they spent on rehabilitating federal roads in the state

The incumbent must do the needful. Anambranians are suffering on that route. Onitsha is enjoying the traffic using alternative route.
