There is progression in your study. Marketing is in line with HR and you also have a diploma/professional certificate in HR. So going for Masters in HR would and should favour you. It should not raise a red flag.
You might also need to construct a very good SOP just to cement your points and also tackle the funding part with other supporting documents of your application well and by God's Grace you should be good to go.

Again I believe your academic progression is in order. Just try and look for any other possible loop hole to mend and cover up.

Have you gotten an admission yet? A 4.40CGPA is very good in applying for Masters admission.

Other members can say something about this too.

so sorry for the earlier post if you have read it, i dont know why i kept on going back to accounting in my head and answering based on that since there is a relationship between marketing and HR, you may apply, but then whether or not it is a progression is what i do not know,so i can not advise based on that... majorly it is a relationship between the previous degree and the aspiring degree they need or in place of the relationship, a superbly worded SOP that gives the VO a vivid and undersandable reason as to the change of interest.....

all the very best...

please note i may be wrong, as i am also learning on here everyday, been reading from part 7
Thank you so much 4 your response

Just as @QuantumMove01 pointed out, going for a master in HR will favour you considering your qualifications. However, I also will advise you pen down your aspirations and after-study plans in this field with a good SOP so in the long run, it clearly defines your passion in this area. By so doing, you would have sold yourself to a VO to also see the potentials you would be taking to Canada.
I believe they will be looking out for that too as every applicant is treated as a potential permanent immigrant and possible citizen irrespective of all the formalities of home ties and returning to home country.

By the way, your CGPA is commendable. Weldone! Got your master admission already?
Thank you so much. No, the admission is not out yet. I applied to York

Hello good people. I have been reading in the background lately, the numerous educative posts on this thread. I commend the great work you guys are doing here.
I need someone to kindly attend to my question.

In a case where a prospective student tells the VO that he has no intention of returning to the home country after graduation, what could be the possible outcomes of the interview?

BTW a news from NYT today: https://mobile.nytimes.com/2017/01/26/world/canada/international-students-canadian-citizenship.html?smid=fb-nytimes&smtyp=cur&_r=0&referer=http://m.facebook.com/

I have a cousin in naija who I'm funding his education. I'm trying to get him here through this route. I sat down with a representative at a local college, who deals with international students and I asked her this exact question. She said while immigration knows most IS won't return especially from naija, and the country is looking for young/education individuals to migrate here, saying you have no plans to return is an automatic rejection. It's that way because they want you to have a plan to return back home in case things don't work out here. They want you to have a back up plan.

Hello everyone

Please I am new on this thread. I am a distribution manager in an MNC. I have worked in this capacity for close to 5 years. I have a bachelors degree in business administration and an MBA in marketing. I want to know if I stand a chance of getting a PR to Canada. I was contacted by an agent and their fees is close to 2000USD. I don't know if I should engage them.

Baba, if you have time to package yourself, leave the agent and join the group below. People like yourself are doing it there while helping others. Shalom!

Sorry, did you mean to say it was transferred to Accra Ghana? Cos i don't think it can be transferred to Lagos and still be under processing. I believe a decision has been made for it to be transferred to Lagos and no need for medicals. You can clear me up should in case i didn't get you.

If a decision has been made it will be 'dispatched in the message ' but transfered means its gone from VFS office (the people who handle the collection) & transfered to Canada (Lagos ) Embassy (which we know is handled in Accra especially student permits).

Good that you are already doing your 'permutations and calculations' but there is such a thing as the FIRST and RIGHT steps towards seeing all your desire come to feasibility.

Firstly, as impressive as it is that you are informed about after study and all (hopefully, you find the best path to your canadian dream), you must also plan and ensure you at all times don't find yourself on the wrong side of the law otherwise, your whole dreams and desire will be marred right before your eyes.

CIC always clearly state out their processes, applicable conditions and penalties to all immigration related issues on their website, it will guide you at all times.

I don't think you'll be fair to yourself to start now worrying about what will happen or what will not happen. Make a good step first by investing and improving on yourself through their education if you can afford it (assuming you choose the study route) and EVERYTHING is possible from there.

Alot of people too do not have anybody in Canada but choose what is best for them and take their own destiny into their hands while doing their possible best in their endeavours but this is not to say you shouldn't be realistic in your intentions. What works/worked for one may not necessarily be directly applicable to another as life's journey and destination will not always give to us what we deserve but what we DEMAND out of it.

My advise will be that you first identify what will add to you and better prepare you to solve problems and profer solutions to help humanity and also bring you to your point of fulfilment while being a strong force to reckon with. Trust me, you would live to share some of the greatest testimonies of your life! Na dem go dey find you!

Once you set your priorities right and make a BOLD step, God will always crown it! Make a GOOD move first and forget the rest. Favours never leaves diligence the last time I checked!
All the best!

Thanks broo
