More drama unfolding as the people of Bayelsa State are subjected to public riddle as news on $4.6m linger on for three days.

There have been accusations and canter accusations from pro and anti government supporters pouring tantrums on each other over alleged missing state funds to the tune of four million dollars ($4.6m) purportedly carted away by Mr Richard Etonye, a government house accountant and a relative to Governor Henry Dickson.

NEXTNEWSLIVE.COM and other news agencies reported the drama at the Bayelsa State Government House, Creek Heaven Yenagoa days ago and there ‘ve been series of media attention on the issue.

There were reports early this morning about Mr Richard Etonye purportedly debunking the rumor stating he was on official duty with his Excellency, Henry Seriake Dickson.

In our resolve to put records straight, our correspondent in Yenagoa, spoke with a close associate with the man in the middle of the imbroglio this afternoon. In a phone chat with our source at 03:41PM Nigerian time today , August 28, it was gathered that, the said government house accountant, Mr Richard Etonye was still in creek heaven Yenagoa performing official duties for the state government.

NEXTNEWSLIVE.COM can authoritatively confirm that, our source who is not in anyway connected with the People Democratic Party’s led government in the state gave the revelations based on close business relationship with Mr Etonye and said all of this overheated problem started when his country home was ransacked while he was on official duty with the governor.

Though, government’s rebuttal earlier condemned the raid on Mr Richard Etonye’s country home and denied all allegations on the accountant. Another source on the same issue fingered the Inspector General of Police on the said raid and key reasons believed to have fueled the combing of the resident situated at the Brass road in Yenagoa was also related to storage of arms and ammunition at the private residence.

What NEXTNEWSLIVE.COM is not certain yet at the time of filing this report is the true outcome of the raid concerning all trump up allegations as all efforts to reach the police to give clarification on the issue proved abortive.
