Emergencia:  This has been asked countless times. But let me say what i think. A blog has more control as the admin can control just about anything that appears on it. A forum is hard to control especially wen you have a lot of users + Spammers. That being said, If both are Successful then a forum makes more money as the users are the ones that create content for the forum. A forum can be compared to a content farm. |

Blogs are making more money than forums. How many forums are hitting it huge like Nairaland? They're very few. But if you like a forum, you can make it big depending on your strategy, and I devise a marketing strategy. |

People will definitely argue this fact, but IMO and from experience a forum is more profitable if you put in the work. User-generated content provides steady fresh content for search engines to index and it's been proven Google loves a regularly updated site thus more organic traffic and high ranking in search results which significantly increases earnings. This is just one of the many reasons I can give as why a forum is better to invest your time on. The only downside is that forums need more work than blogs. 1 Like |
