@Salamander, which one is better and later model between the two, SRT 4910 and 4669x and which one cheaper?
@all, I used to watch at least 14 channels on Intelsat 906. I am now only watching about 9 and have lost Star TV, Channel 10, JCTV, Child and TBN whose Signal Levels have dropped to around 20% or less. The Signal Levels for the other 9 channels remain normal. What could be the explanation for this? Could this be a problem of the LNB (Strong) i am using? How come the other channels are not affected? Furthermore, a friend of mine is using exactly the same Lnb as mine and has a full set of channels available on this bird. As I said I used to watch these channels without a problem at all and nothing on my side has changed. I have tried changing cables, all in vain. Pls help!
Re: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by salamander(m): 5:08pm On Oct 21, 2009
@Candyman

The SRT4910 is the latest model and more expensive than the 4669x. As I said, from the beginning, it all about if you want to spend more. However regarding drop in signal, I believe you have to check your setup. It could be that you have to tweak your lnb a bit.

Paps1:

@all can anyone confirm to me if free2view channel and aljazera channels are still on sirius.cause they are still on lyngsat as active but i can recieve it.it does not even hit green when i input tps.pls anyone
@ Paps1
Aljazeera left sirius some times ago.
Free2views channels are still on W3A, it's true there is a decrease and sometimes even a lost of signal with small dishes but they are up there. Check your installation.

@ George D- What i mean is for u to change ur symbol rate only,the tp for etv africa is 3816H/4312 which is showing only catoon network and nation tv kenya for now.How u dey enjoy ur yf now,feed me back if the tp work in daar box.I still dey for jungle oh,thank God my opera mini is working now. I also want to thank all the good guys that helped in answering my question regarding Rf separating.I came to find out that it is better to use a modulator to demodulate the A/V signal to rf than using the receiver to do so.Reason being that modulator has more range of rf frequencies than our receivers do,i ll post details of my findings when i reach that stage.What i need is where to get a 8 way a/v input modulator. Olofofo and Butoneday thanks a million.

If you don't have LCF-Togo- rescan the free2view tp on W3A = 12728V30000. You can also monitor this feed on W3A = 11184V5696.

@all, pls i need help on how to install daarsat, am tryin to install it with this TP
1155{5} H 30000, whener i hit green on my kaon reciever, when i ready to scan 4 channels, the last 5 frequency digit we change to 1 while all channel on NSS7ku nomarly com out, i now confuse, plss what is wrong? Moreover did daarsat hav another TP? If yes, let me hav it. becaus i has been to lyngsat where i only hav that tp, i mention ealiar, pls help me.
Re: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by rich8: 4:49pm On Oct 22, 2009
reply, pls move the dish by one or 2 inch dow becuse where u er is stil 22.W not 27.w pls
Re: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by spaceman(m): 5:04pm On Oct 22, 2009
@ Olatiler
It is quite unfortunate that you end up catching NSS7 instead of Intel 907.
Remember daarsat is MPEG4 and your 4663X (If thats what u use) cant give you green.
The tp 11675H which I think could have been of help I doubt its its functionality for now.
Now focus your dish well on NSS7-track it. NSS7 and Int 907 are just 3deg apart on the azimuth, and 6 deg apart on the elevation.
Now stand behind the dish(with nss7 fully tracked) tap your dish to your right (3 degrees) and tap it down (6 degrees). change  parameters to 11555H/30000.  experiment within this limit you are sure to get daarsat with your daarbox.
I do hope you understand the amount of turn (approximate) that should give you 3 and 6 degrees respectively
good luk.

@alancruise
C-Band channels frequencies values begin with 3-- or 4 ---and KU-Band frequencies values begin with 10, ,11, or 12,
There is a south african feed which shows mostly during week-end soccer on sirius4/5°est = 12710 V (or H) 4420.
Free2view channels are now operating only on W3A. There's no free2view package on sirius, the information on lyngsat just got to be updated. Aljazeera English for instance is still supposed to be there but they left sirius a some time ago. It's enthusiastic people like you and me who are working on lyngsat and they are human beings. Hope this will help relieve the confusion.

Re: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by GeorgeD1(m): 6:32pm On Oct 22, 2009
@Candymann,
Something definitely shifted with your dish but thankfully it may not be the alignment. Last time I had similar problem on intelsat 906/c with smile, tbn jctv, etc it turned out my lnb focal length was not where it was supposed to be. So by inference, you will need to check your lnb focal length and also check the lnb throat to remove any cobweb or spider nesting within especially if yours has the plastic cap removed like most people's.

@sayso,
Work dey my brother. Be expecting your call.

@Buben,
You're welcome.

@osef,
Together we can achieve great things. Just keep the focus.

George i can see that the yf is working for u. Enjoy oh! Wat of the daar stuff? @ All if u need yf configuration from me plz make sure u re on ur system,then call me within 7pm and dont email me for the setting cos i wont reply,am still in the jungle. W3a and sirus 4 is suprisely taking up our pages again,u guys should learn to use blindscan and moreover there is no much good channels there so i dont think it wort all this attention again. If u want to enjoy fta with 90cm ku dishes,why not go for multitv. Or u can also get 2.4m strong pan dish for badr which can work very well no matter the ur location.
