Speaking at the unveiling ceremony at the Port Harcourt headquarters of the cultural pageant, the Project Director Mrs Lovelyn Onuoha said the pageant is aimed at empowering the Igbo girl child across the globe as well as for encouraging Igbo maidens to shun violence and believing in themselves .
