The beneficiaries were at the garment factory for the final employment screening exercise, where they were given immediate employment by the governor. While screening was on-going at the Garment Factory, Governor Ben Ayade paid a visit to the venue with renowned entrepreneurs to monitor the ongoing process. He engaged the awaiting applicants with the vision behind the garment factory dream. The governor disclosed that, the dream of the factory goes beyond creating jobs but the need to guarantee that, young men and women who have been challenged by circumstances have an opportunity to live a better life. The President and founder of Africa Young Entrepreneurs (AYE), Oluwa Summy Francis, who was in company of other entrepreneurs from other parts of Africa, described the establishment of the Calabar Garment Factory as a demonstration of true leadership in action.
